| With the onslaught of pollutants in
the air, water and soil, it becomes increasingly more important that
urban communities develop aggressive strategies to start or maintain
programs that promote planting and cultivating trees, parks and gardens.
The Urban Forest Council is the leader in the Nation's Capital for
initiating a variety of programs that promote urban forestry and environmental
stewardship. We offer funding to groups through grants; provide technical
assistance to community groups; provide a data base of professional
services in environmentally related fields and provide a volunteer
network for community projects. |
